    Compatibility

Wil TealMagnify work with PalmOS 5 devices? (100%)
Yes. TealMagnify is fully compatible with PalmOS 5 and handhelds running ARM processors like the Tungsten T. TealMaster must be used as the system extensions manager, as other managers (like Hackmaster or X-master) do not work under PalmOS 5.
    Thanks, that helped!

Will TealMagnify work with grayscale display modes? (100%)
Yes, TealMagnify 2.10+ works in PalmOS-supported 4 and 16-shade grayscale modes in addition to monochrome modes. It will not, however, work in 16-shade grayscale modes prior to OS 3.3, because prior PalmOS interface drawing routines did not support this display mode (only 4-shade). Some programs hack the hardware directly to achieve this display depth, but that mode is not supported until PalmOS 3.3.
    Thanks, that helped!

Will TealMagnify work with Sony CLIE or HandEra high resolution displays? (100%)
Yes. Make sure you are running TealMagnify 2.60 or higher.
    Thanks, that helped!
    Features

Can I put TealMagnify into flash? (100%)
Yes, you can move TealMagnify into unused operating system flash memory using a program like FlashPro, but you cannot put it (or any Hacks) into removable flash cards due to their architecture and removability.
    Thanks, that helped!

Can TealMagnify be upgraded to allow the screen to be active (hot) even when it is magnified? (100%)
Unfortunately, likely not. PalmOS is not a multitasking operating system and does not provide the hooks to allow one application to either intercept another's drawing to the screen or fully remap user taps on the screen to a different location. Because of this, "live" magnification is probably not technically possible under current versions of PalmOS.
    Thanks, that helped!
    Registering

After I register, I still get a "Please Register" popup in TealMaster. (100%)
The registration reminder is actually from TealMaster, not the hack. TealMaster is our own enhanced, standard system extensions (hack) manager. A trial version of TealMaster is included with our extensions-format programs as a convenience for those who do not already have TealMaster or a similar manager installed on their handheld. TealMaster can be registered separately for $9.95.
    Thanks, that helped!
    Troubleshooting

When FindHack is installed, TealMagnify doesn't open up when I tap the 'Find' button. (100%)
FindHack doesn't pass the "Find Button" press to the next hack in the list. To bypass this, you'll need to make sure FindHack is set to a lower priority (higher number) in TealMaster than TealMagnify. If you're using Hackmaster, you can, un-check and re-check TealMagnify in Hackmaster to bring it above FindHack in the list of active hacks.
    Thanks, that helped!

When I tap the find button, TealMagnify still comes up even after I deleted it. (100%)
As noted in the documentation, you cannot delete an active system extension ("hack") using the PalmOS launcher's "delete" menu. You must deactivate the hack in the extensions manager (Hackmaster or TealMaster). If you forgot, you'll need to restart the handheld using the pinhole in the back, but there will be no permanent damage. If you are running TealMaster, you can always safely delete hacks there.
    Thanks, that helped!
    Usage

How do I activate TealMagnify? (100%)
Follow the manual instructions for installing both the program and a hack manager. A demo of the TealMaster hack manager is included. Open the hack manger and check the box next to TealMagnify to enable it.

To bring up the TealMagnify window, follow the same operations you would normally perform to activate a system Global Find operation. For devices with silkscreen writing areas, tap on the printed 'Find' button, typically having a magnifying class picture.

On the Treo 600, you must HOLD DOWN the blue button while simultaneously pressing the button with the magnifying glass symbol on it (shift). If you only press and release the blue button before pressing the shift/find button, you'll just start a normal find operation.
    Thanks, that helped!
