    Compatibility

Will TealTools utilize Palm/HandEra/Sony CLIE high resolution screens? (100%)
Yes. Make sure you are running TealTools 1.20 or higher to take advantage of high resolution and full screen modes.
    Thanks, that helped!

Will TealFiles support external SD/MMC cards and other VFS devices? (100%)
We've experimented some with extending TealFiles to support VFS expansion cards. Unfortunately, we found it problematical calling the VFS library from a desk accessory like TealTools due to the resource-intensive nature of the library and potential conflicts with the app running under the DA if it is also trying to use the VFS library. Consequently, we wrote the app TealMover which, as a standalone utility, doesn't run into the same stability problem and limitations.
    Thanks, that helped!
    General

Is TealTools compatible with PalmOS 5? (100%)
Yes. TealTools is fully compatible with PalmOS 5 and handhelds running ARM processors like the Tungsten T. TealMaster must be used as the system extensions manager, as other managers (like Hackmaster or X-master) are not work under PalmOS 5.
    Thanks, that helped!
    Troubleshooting

When I allow the handheld to power off, the handheld doesn't wake up when timer expires. (100%)
The Palm OS timer mechanism does not support popup desk accessories or hacks; only standalone applications. Because of this, PalmOS will not turn on the device for a desk accessory like TealTime. To use the countdown timer, leave the device on using the "stay awake" option, which prevents the device from going into automatic sleep mode while the timer is running.
    Thanks, that helped!

When I check the "Stay on in Cradle" option, the device still powers off if I leave it on in the cradle. (100%)
This option only has an effect if the system software for your organizer supports this ability. You can tell by looking in the standard system prefs app. If there is no "stay on in cradle" option, then your hardware/firmware does not support it. Most organizers with rechargeable batteries such as the Palm V, Palm m500, and Sony CLIE series organizers, support staying on in the cradle. The Visor Prism does not.
    Thanks, that helped!

When I use TealCalc, I see a strange symbol instead of a divide symbol in the calculator when using Korean fonts (100%)
Yes. The divide symbol is a valid but rarely used character in the Palm font set, but the writers of the Korean support program decided to replace it with their own Korean character, probably because they ran out of space elsewhere to insert characters. This unfortunate approach has the side effect of messing up all other programs that actually expect the correct symbol to be there in the font set.
    Thanks, that helped!
    Usage

How can I remap activation of TealTools popups to other strokes? (100%)
TealTools comes with a simple bare-bones activation hack to complete the package. This launch supports both strokes in the Graffiti entry area of PDA-style handhelds, as well as strokes along the edge of the screen for devices without Graffiti.

As standard Palm Desk Accessories, TealTools DAs can be launched with any standard popup launcher that supports desk accessories, including DA-launcher (freeware), or our full-featured configurable TealLaunch. Using an alternate launcher might also be necessary if the pre-programmed pen swipes in TealTools hack conflict with similar mapping used in other programs, like switchhack.
    Thanks, that helped!
