FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Make the Most of your Handheld Memory with TealAlias

San Rafael, CA, March 17, 2009 -- TealPoint Software(TM), the leading developer of business and consumer applications for Palm(TM) connected organizers, announced today the release of TealAlias(TM) version 1.26 for Palm OS(R) handhelds. Adding a much-needed capability to PalmOS, TealAlias allows handheld owners to fully take advantage of external expansion memory cards like Compact Flash, Memory Stick(R), SD, and MMC. Similar to Windows(R) "shortcuts" or MacOS(R) "alias" files, TealAlias aliases are small placeholder apps that, when run, automatically find, load and launch specified applications and data files from memory or external flash cards. TealAlias aliases take up very little space, and can free up main memory by loading both apps and their data files from VFS-compatible external cards only when needed. TealAlias can also be used to add card support to launchers or programs, or to allow card-based applications to be placed in launcher categories. Lastly, TealAlias can be used to provide icon and launcher support to individual document files, automatically launching supporting applications to open up specific documents with a single tap. TealAlias retails for $9.95. Availability is immediate on the TealPoint Software web site at www.tealpoint.com, and other Internet sites.

"TealAlias saved the day after I filled up all 16 Megabytes on my handheld," said Vince Lee, President of TealPoint Software. "Now, I store gobs of apps and games on my SD card, and can still place them into categories and launch them with my pop-up launcher. I even carry 50 Megabytes of maps with me at all times, loading both the map viewer and whatever map I need with just a few taps. The map viewer isn't even card-aware, but with TealAlias, it might as well be."
